God made the earth good, but our sinfulness has cursed the earth. He never takes away our free will to sin, so we live in a fallen world. God must judge sin and sends disasters on us, just as he did in the Bible. Calamity came on Job, but he never rejected God, instead he was corrected, and doubly blessed. God works all things according to his own purposes.
