The final plague on Egypt was the death of every firstborn son in one night. Israel was saved as they were told to kill a lamb and put its blood on every doorpost and lintel. God said, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” This was the Passover feast, a clear picture of the Lamb of God to come.
