Jeremiah was called as a prophet to the nations before his birth. Only Judah remained of the kingdoms and Jeremiah predicted the fall and destruction of Jerusalem and the captivity and exile of the people. Jeremiah was opposed, threatened and imprisoned, but he faithfully proclaimed God’s word, including the return from Babylon and the restoration of the nation.
