The name Jesus means ‘God saves’ and was given to Christ because He would save His people from their sins, by dying for our sins on the cross. We must have faith in Jesus as our Saviour, which means we trust and believe in him, committing our lives to Him. Then we can have the assurance that our sins are forgiven.
