God’s word is the sword of the Spirit in the battle against the spiritual forces of darkness. Jesus used it against Satan, countering each temptation by speaking out the written word. God’s child can also speak His word over any temptation or situation. God’s word is also like a love letter to us, assuring us of His attention, presence, and care always.
