The pilgrims reach Beulah Land and meet Shining Ones who lead them to a river they must enter and cross. Christian sinks down with a Spirit telling him of his past sins, but Hopeful encourages him through. They climb Mt. Zion, enter the gate, and go into the city. Ignorance tries to enter but is refused. Christian and Hopeful enter into the joy of their Lord. The Narrator awakens: and it was a dream.
