A local family is told to give their son to pay a debt. In God’s Word, Abraham is told by God to sacrifice Isaac. He begins to do it, but God stops him and provides a sheep instead. Abraham passed the test of obedience. This is a picture of God’s actual sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
