The Torah of Moses, the historical writings and Psalms of David, and the books of the prophets form the Old Testament, which are the Hebrew scriptures, accepted as God – inspired by Israel in about 200 B.C. The New Testament in Greek was written by disciples of Jesus. The four gospels, then Acts and the many letters of Paul then general letters ending with Revelation, were accepted as scriptures by about 200 A.D.
