In prison, Joseph had interpreted dreams. Pharoah had dreams also and brought Joseph out to explain them. In the seven years of plenty and seven of famine, Pharaoh made Joseph in charge of Egypt, to gather and store all the grain of the abundant years. In the famine, many came to Egypt, including Joseph’s brothers, who bowed before him, as in Joseph’s dream.
