World history is separated between B.C., before Christ, and A.D., Anno Domini, the year of the Lord. B.C. events are counted backwards, A.D. history is counted forwards. The Bible begins with creation, then Adam, Abraham, and Moses as it progresses through time. So too the New Testament progresses through Jesus’ life and onwards.
