God created man in His image with a body, soul, and spirit. The soul is mind (intellect), emotions (feelings), and will (choice), to know, love and obey God. The difference between man and the lower animals is that man has an eternal soul with a capacity to reason, feel and freely choose to relate to God and to love Him forever.
