David wrote most of the songs which speak of God’s mighty works and of personal intimacy with Him in times of trouble, grief, defeat, and victory. As scripture, the Psalms (Zabur) emphasize God’s love and mercy, exalt His Name and show us how to give thanks and praise to Him. A favourite for many is Ps 23, God is my Shepherd.
