Jesus talked with his disciples, comforting them, and telling them what would happen, saying “I am the way, the truth, the life.” He was leaving but would send the Holy Spirit as their Companion always, but first He would suffer and die. After His agony of prayer in the garden of Gethsemane, He was arrested.
